It’s one of those classic films that you always see screen caps of on Tumblr.
Featuring three of my favourite people, Angelina Jolie, Winona Ryder and the late Brittany Murphy, ‘Girl, Interrupted’ takes the audience on a journey through the tasks and tribulations of mental health.
Touching on a number of delicate subjects, such as depression and anxiety, the idea of these issues don’t seem as distant as they once did, as the film continues to its final conclusion.
Angelina’s character, Lisa Rowe, is a confident and outgoing patient, almost portraying the role of a leader within the mental institution, creating an uplifting and positive environment; at least she does for some of the time.
With relatable scenes and vibrant characters, as well as some brilliant fashion choices, this movie is definitely worth a watch and a definite top 10 on my list.
