Omg!!! Why have I not paid more attention to Freddie Mercury before?!
Just recently, I stumbled across a video of Queen playing a short set at Live Aid in 1985, at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Obviously I have known who Queen are for the longest time, pretty much since birth. (Well not really, but you get what I’m trying to say here)
And, of course, I have grown up listening to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, as well as successfully singing it, word for word, on the occasional night out. But, apart from that, that’s pretty much the extent of my Queen knowledge; until now.
After watching their set at Live Aid twice, and being amazed by Freddie, his voice, and his outfit, I searched for more videos.
After watching a few interviews and realising how carefree and fashionable this guy was, I knew I was going to like him, and write a post about him.
I have some performances and interviews that I still need to watch, but I think I can safely say, Freddie’s moustache era is my favourite! (Haha)
I’m also going to take some style tips from Freddie too, because his outfits were the best!
Oh, and before I forget to include this bit of information, this set was voted, by artists and music critics, as the best live set in rock music history. Not that I’m much of a music critic, but I have to agree.
And if you were wondering, ‘Radio Ga Ga’ is my favourite song.
